| What is this, anyway? Dateline Jasoom is one of thousands of shows that float through the ether on the vast Gridley Wave Network, which connects all the worlds created by Edgar Rice Burroughs and several other science fiction and fantasy universes. It is a production of Panthan Press, the publisher of that tabloid newspaper of Mars -- The Barsoomian Blade. Bill Hillman at erbzine has re-published The Blade. Reading that will give you a better idea of the goofiness involved in all this. Seeking contributors Dateline Jasoom is always looking for contributions from ERB fans. Send me an e-mail to comment on the show, or to suggest topics you'd like to hear discussed. If you can record audio in WAV or MP3 format, send a "voice mail" to be played on the show. Those can be you as you, or you as an ERB persona. Or, be creative and surprise me with something completely different. Try making a "commercial" like the ones we've had on the show for useful products and services in ERB's universe. (And others. We're open to all science fiction, pulp, and fantasy universes. That includes movies and TV.) I'm also interested in audio files like the 1939 radio interview with ERB that Ted McKosky sent in for show #16. If you have recordings of ERB or actors who have played Tarzan or other characters, send them along. The same goes for recordings where ERB or Tarzan are mentioned -- movie references, commercials, TV shows, and so on. And if you know someone (or are someone) who would make a good interview for the show, let me know. |
